Push for federal oversight of airline groundings

A Senate inquiry has recommended federal authorities have the final say on whether airlines like Qantas can ground their fleet.

The Senate Committee report has described the move by Qantas to ground its aircraft and lock out staff in a workplace dispute last year as disastrous for Australia.
