ABC NewsMail - Morning Edition

Good morning. Here's what's happening now:

  • A Four Corners investigation out this morning has revealed details about the link between unregulated bookmakers, organised crime and match-fixing. There's one Malaysian high-roller at the centre of it

  • Ten people have been arrested in Melbourne during overnight raids. They were allegedly part of a drug ring and the alleged boss will face court later today

  • The Australian political year kicks off today with a Labor caucus meeting in Canberra ahead of Federal Parliament resuming tomorrow. To ease you into it, ABC cameraman Nick Haggarty has taken us inside Parliament House with this piece on the building's press galleries and the eclectic mix of paraphernalia that has been collected within each bureau

The history of the Sydney Opera House has deepened with the discovery of recordings of the Australian architect who finished the job when Dane Jorn Utzon resigned. His family sees him as a tragic victim of "that incredible building"

Here's what's coming up:

  • 8:35am AEDT: Jacqui Lambie will be on Radio National

  • 9:00am AEDT: The Australian Electoral Commission will publish annual financial disclosure returns from political parties

  • 2:15pm AEDT: There will be a Labor caucus meeting in Canberra before Parliament resumes tomorrow
