  • The world is reacting to news that Russian President Vladamir Putin "probably approved" the murder of ex-KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko in London. Mr Litvinenko's wife has called for sanctions against Russia but British PM David Cameron said they needed Moscow's help to solve the Syria crisis

  • Fire crews in Tasmania hope easing weather conditions will help them in the battle to control dozens of fires burning across the state. Interstate crews are due to arrive over the weekend

  • Lleyton Hewitt has slammed an online blog which named him on a list of players linked to match-fixing, calling it "absurd" and a "farce". He retired last night after bowing out of the Australian Open
