  • Malcolm Turnbull and Barack Obama have met in the White House's Oval Office and talked international security, the Middle East and the TPP. The PM departs the US this afternoon

  • Lleyton Hewitt is through to round two of the Australian Open, meaning he'll play at least one more match before retiring from tennis. He beat fellow Australian James Duckworth. Hewitt will meet David Ferrer on Thursday

  • The Defence Department has confirmed it will face more than 100 compensation claims for sexual and physical abuse dating back to the 1960s. Some of the victims are claiming up to $1 million
