Gillard defends carbon tax ad spend

Prime Minister Julia Gillard has defended the amount of taxpayers' money being spent on ads to promote the carbon tax.
A $12 million advertising blitz will be launched tonight, and a further $13 million will be spent on a public information campaign.
"There's been a lot of fear around, a lot of misconceptions, so we want to get to people the accurate information they need to prepare for this change," Ms Gillard said.More »
