Marathon starts legal fight over Arkaroola mining ban

Explorer Marathon Resources is taking legal action against the South Australian Government over a total mining ban imposed on the Arkaroola wilderness region of the Flinders Ranges.

Marathon has been seeking compensation for its costs since the former premier Mike Rann announced several months ago the Government would proclaim a ban because of the area's unique environmental qualities.
