Hot air balloon crashes killing all on board

Emergency services in New Zealand say a hot air balloon has crashed, killing all 11 people on board.

The balloon went down near the small rural town of Carterton, 150 kilometres north of Wellington, on the country's north island.

Details are sketchy but several witnesses reported seeing flames and smoke from the balloon before it crashed close to the Clareville showgrounds.
