$136m in extra compo for Storm investors

The Commonwealth Bank has agreed to provide an extra $136 million in compensation to customers who lost money when Storm Financial collapsed.

The payments will be on top of $132 million the bank had already provided to Storm customers through its resolution scheme.

The deal means ASIC will drop its Federal Court case against the Commonwealth over its part in the collapsed investment scheme, which is estimated to have cost investors a total of $830 million.
