Abbott vows 'robust' face-to-face meeting with Putin

Prime Minister Tony Abbott has vowed to hold a "robust", face-to-face conversation about the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 with Russian leader Vladimir Putin at the APEC summit in Beijing.

Mr Abbott will also hold meetings with China's premier Li Keqiang and US president Barack Obama on the sidelines of the APEC summit, designed to promote regional economic cooperation.
