Live blog: Flood crisis unfolds

South-east Queensland and northern New South Wales are struggling with an unfolding weather disaster as flood waters force more evacuations and wild winds rip off roofs and cut power and phone lines.

Rivers throughout the region are still rising and three people are confirmed to have died so far.

There are mandatory evacuations in the north of Bundaberg, there is a major flood crisis developing in Ipswich and in the Lockyer Valley, and thousands of Brisbane residents have been told their homes and businesses could go under.
