Live: Wild weather batters SE Qld

Queensland is enduring tornado activity, torrential rainfall, severe thunderstorms and major flooding as ex-tropical cyclone Oswald makes its way south.

The Weather Bureau has issued severe weather warnings that stretch from central Queensland to the NSW border.

Hundreds of people living in Gladstone and Bundaberg have been evacuated as floodwaters threaten to inundate homes.

Destructive tornadoes have hit in the Hervey Bay and Bundaberg regions, and more are expected in the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.
