This isn't a lifestyle, it's a way of life

A "lifestyle" is something thin, superficial, swappable. If a lifestyle is something you can adopt, it's something you can also change.

As such, it's deeply offensive for the Prime Minister to suggest that living in a remote Indigenous community is simply one option among others.

We're not talking about tree-changers. We're talking about people living in the land they have always lived in, pursuing forms of life and community that require presence and continuity.
