Accused collar bomber drops extradition fight

The Australian investment banker accused of chaining a fake bomb around Sydney teenager Madeleine Pulver's neck in a bungled extortion attempt has dropped his fight against extradition to Australia.

Paul Douglas Peters made a brief appearance in a Kentucky court this morning to waive his right to an extradition hearing.

He was returned to the custody of the US Marshals Service where he will remain until New South Wales Police are able to travel to the US to collect him.
