Minister defends BHP mine EIS approval

Mineral Resources Minister Tom Koutsantonis says the current environment impact statement covers any use of a heat leaching technique the company will now consider for ore extraction.

But Greens MP Mark Parnell thinks the impact statement needs to be reworked because it makes barely any mention of using acid leaching.
