Live blog: Bushfire threatens homes in SA

Ground crews and water bombers are tackling a bushfire across hundreds of hectares of lower Eyre Peninsula in South Australia.

The blaze broke out late morning at Mungerowie Scrub, west of Port Lincoln, near Big Swamp.

The bushfire is moving toward Port Lincoln from the north-west and that eastern edge of the blaze is the focus of firefighting efforts.
