Teacher on sex charge

A teacher at Hobart's Ogilvie High School has been charged with having underage sex with a student.

The former woodwork teacher has been charged with one count of sexual intercourse with a young person under 17.

The 45-year-old was given police bail two weeks ago but was arrested on Wednesday for breaching his bail conditions by sending the 16-year-old girl a letter.
