  • Woolworths will sell its fuel business to BP for nearly $1.8 billion in a deal that would preserve its fuel redemption scheme. The sale is subject to regulatory approvals from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and the Foreign Investment Review Board

  • Hollywood icons have remembered Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher as brave, funny and "emotionally fearless". Her Star Wars co-star Mark Hamill tweeted "no words #devastated" following the news of her death

  • A lawyer for Afghanistan's first female fixed-wing Air Force pilot is urging US President Barack Obama to approve her claim for asylum. Captain Niloofar Rahmani has reportedly received death threats from the Taliban

A collection of model trains worth "millions of dollars" has been donated to the Workshops Rail Museum, west of Brisbane. Workshops collection manager Rob Shiels said the process of photographing and recording the 11,000-piece collection could take him 40 years.
