Live: Prince Harry joins fleet review celebrations

Prince Harry has spent the day helping celebrate 100 years since the Royal Australian Navy fleet first entered Sydney Harbour.

He and Governor-General Quentin Bryce officially reviewed a fleet of international warships from aboard HMAS Leeuwin on the harbour.

They were welcomed by a 100-gun salute as thousands of people looked on from the foreshore.

The prince then met members of the public who had gathered at The Rocks, before heading to Kirribilli House where he was greeted by Prime Minister Tony Abbott and members of his family.

At a private function, hosted by the PM, Prince Harry is due to to meet a number of young Australians in recognition of their charity work.

A huge light and fireworks spectacular will end the day's celebrations

Review Board gets more time to consider GrainCorp takeover

Treasurer Joe Hockey has delayed a final decision on a controversial bid by the US agricultural giant Archer Daniels Midland for Australia's GrainCorp.

In a statement released this afternoon, Mr Hockey said the deadline for a decision on the $3 billion proposal had been extended to December 17.

Mr Hockey's decision is seen as the Government's first major policy test on foreign investment, after pre-election speculation about revised guidelines for the Foreign Investment Review Board.
