Alexander Preston-Stanley, 27, from Macgregor, will be sentenced in March after pleading guilty in the ACT Magistrates Court to breaching the secrecy provisions of the AFP Act. On April 24, 2013, Preston-Stanley, then a probationary constable, was asked to speak to a woman who had come into the Tuggeranong Police Station to ask for help. As he was going through her mobile phone, he noticed a private sex video involving her and decided to secretly re-record it on his phone. He was not caught out until he showed it to a fellow officer who recognised the woman and reported it to the AFP Professional Standards unit. More » |
