Coroner to examine case of boy who died after hospital release

The Queensland coroner will investigate the case of a nine-year-old boy who died less than a day after being released from a Brisbane hospital.

Hunter Marr died on Monday at home in Ormeau, south of Brisbane, 19 hours after he was discharged from the Mater Children's Hospital.

He was being treated for breathing difficulties.

Queensland Health Minister Lawrence Springborg has promised to implement all recommendations from the coroner relating to the boy's death.
