A man accused of attacking five people in Sydney on New Year's Eve, leaving one of them fighting for his life in hospital, has been refused bail. Eighteen-year-old Daniel Christie (pictured) was punched to the ground at Potts Point on Tuesday night and is in a critical condition at St Vincent's Hospital. Court documents says he is likely to have a major brain injury if he survives. Twenty-five-year-old builder Shaun McNeil has been charged with a series of offences, including maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm, and was refused bail in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday afternoon.
