  • 8:30am AEST: A South Australian Senate hearing will investigate oil and gas drilling plans for the Great Australian Bight

  • 9:30am AEST: Four men are due to face court in Goulburn on fresh charges over the death of NSW Police employee Curtis Cheng

  • 1:00pm AEST: Aboriginal leader Pat Dodson will be officially endorsed as the Senate replacement for Joe Bullock in Western Australia

  • 12:15pm AEST: A memorial ceremony will be held at Port Arthur to mark 20 years since the massacre. The Prime Minister is due to speak at the event, which will be broadcast live on ABC 1 and News 24

  • 6:30pm AEST: The Alannah and Madeline Foundation will hold a candlelight vigil at Melbourne's Federation Square to mark the Port Arthur anniversary
