  • Iceland's Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson has resigned after mounting pressure over the Panama Papers data leaks, which revealed his wife owned an offshore company with big claims on the country's collapsed banks. His deputy has taken over

  • An ABC exclusive reveals the Federal Government is preparing to write off billions of dollars in student loans as bad debt. A budget update showed that of loans issued in 2018-19, they expect $4.4 billion will never be repaid

  • Nusra Front rebels have shot down a Syrian warplane south of Aleppo and captured its pilot. The Syrian military said they were now trying to rescue him

Judith Durham, lead singer of The Seekers, says it's a "miracle" a musical about the group has made it to the stage. Georgy Girl, The Seekers Musical will open in Sydney later this year
