The election date also remains a closely guarded secret, but with the Senate holding the final planned sitting of the 43rd Parliament today, an election sooner rather than later is looking likely. With seven ministers departing the frontbench, Mr Rudd's Cabinet will see a significant reshuffle and could be announced as early as today.
