MH370 probe returns to passengers and crew

Investigators are again examining the passenger list of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 after Malaysia's government said someone on board deliberately shut off the plane's communications and tracking systems and flew it off course for nearly seven hours after it vanished.

Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak has confirmed the plane's systems were gradually switched off and the plane was flown far to the west of its flight path before disappearing.

For this reason, the investigation is again turning towards passengers and crew, and police have searched the homes of the missing aircraft's pilot and co-pilot.

Mr Najib says data from the plane's last known satellite contact meant it could have headed along flight corridors stretching as far north as Kazakhstan or as far south as the southern Indian Ocean.

There to meet them will be one premier who has fought two elections, two others who have fought one, and another who hasn't fought any.

The newcomers should not feel overwhelmed.
