Wimbledon dream run ends for Nick Kyrgios

The Wimbledon dream run of Australian teenager Nick Kyrgios has ended with a four-set loss to Canadian young gun Milos Raonic.

The 19-year-old stunned the tennis world yesterday by beating world number one Rafael Nadal, but could not back that victory up in this morning’s quarter-final losing 6-7 (7/4), 6-2, 6-4, 7-6 (7/4).

In earlier quarter-finals Novak Djokovic beat Marin Cilic and Roger Federer beat Stanislas Wawrinka, but Grigor Dimitrov ousted local favourite and defending champion Andy Murray.

With his victory, Raonic became the first Canadian man to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals in 106 years.
