Her current trip to China represents her 25th overseas trip since becoming Prime Minister. And from the White Paper on the Asian Century to her personal appointment as a UN envoy on development aid, she has a lot to show for it. This will be a key electoral asset for Gillard heading towards September, particularly as she makes decisions around attending the G20 Summit and even the Pacific Islands Forum scheduled in the weeks leading up to the national poll.
