Rescue shifts to recovery after Oklahoma tornado

Rescue teams working in the tornado-struck suburbs of Oklahoma City believe they have located all the dead and missing after Monday's devastating storm.

Authorities lowered the death toll to 24 overnight, after initial fears 91 people had been killed. About 240 people were injured.

During a long day of searching on Tuesday, emergency crews lifted broken doors, moved sections of shattered walls and tossed aside bricks looking for survivors as cadaver dogs sniffed through the rubble.

It is rocket science, as SA firm expands operation

Technology firm NewSat plans to hire up to 20 space scientists as part of an expansion in South Australia.

The Australian company is preparing to launch a satellite fleet and needs more antennae in Adelaide to support them.

It provides communication services for customers including mining companies and the United States military.

NewSat chief executive Adrian Ballintine said the work on offer was highly technical.

NewSat has been given government-owned land to double the size of its facility at Mawson Lakes in northern Adelaide.
