No sign of missing jet as search planes comb 'every inch' of sea

Malaysian authorities say they "remained puzzled" about the disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines flight, saying there has been no confirmation that debris has been found.

Six Australian passengers were among the 239 people on board flight MH370 when it disappeared en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

Earlier today there were reports that possible debris from the plane had been found in the South China Sea off Vietnam's coast.

But today Malaysia's chief investigator said Vietnamese authorities had not confirmed sighting any wreckage, and said authorities "remained puzzled" about the disappearance.

Authorities continue to investigate two passengers who boarded the plane using stolen passports, and hijacking has not been ruled out as a cause of the crash.
