Good afternoon. Here's what's happening now:

  • The ABC has been told Malcolm Turnbull is seriously considering a double dissolution election on July 2, if the Senate rejects an IR bill next month. In response, Labor leader Bill Shorten has outlined his election-year pitch to voters.

  • Researchers have discovered the Paleo diet could cause significant and rapid weight gain. The team had set out to prove the benefits of going Paleo, so that's a little awkward.

  • It's Friday afternoon, so you should take our news quiz. Your humble NewsMail correspondent got seven out of 10...
