Good morning. Here's what's happening now:

  • The United States and Russia have announced the second Syria ceasefire plan in as many weeks, but Islamic State will continue to be targeted. Both world powers back different sides in the Syrian conflict and admit that despite their influence, a ceasefire will be difficult to implement by February 27

  • A Geraldton doctor has been found guilty of manslaughter after she bludgeoned her abusive husband to death. Chamari Liyanage, 36, was sentenced to four years' jail, prompting her defence lawyer to call for the law to be changed in relation to women suffering domestic violence

  • British Prime Minister David Cameron has warned that leaving the European Union would threaten national security and put jobs at risk. An in-out vote has been called for June but most analysts expect Britain will remain in the EU
