ABC NewsMail - Afternoon Edition

Good afternoon. Here's what's happening now:

  • Police have called off the search for the body of Matthew Leveson in bushland south of Sydney. Police had been led to the search site by Mr Leveson's boyfriend Michael Atkins, who was found not guilty of his murder in 2009

  • A cardiologist says two French tourists who died of heart attacks on the Great Barrier Reef were likely stung by the Irukandji jellyfish. "It's highly unlikely that two people are going to die within minutes of each other just because they've got underlying medical conditions," Dr Ross Walker said

  • Tasmania's Transport Minister says laws will be passed next year to cancel the registration of vehicles with "vile and appalling" slogans. Rene Hidding says some Wicked Campers vans have crossed the line

It's not as simple as "slip, slop, slap". Here are some tips on how to do sunscreen right — and avoid rocking up to work looking like a lobster.

Here's what's coming up tonight:

  • 6:30pm AEDT: Indigenous broadcaster Stan Grant will deliver this year's Narrm Oration on "Indigenous economic migrants and the world they made"

  • 10:00pm AEDT: Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will fly to Peru for an APEC summit
