Kathy Jackson 'suffered breakdown' over HSU corruption allegations

Whistleblowing union boss Kathy Jackson has told a royal commission hearing she suffered a mental breakdown after exposing widespread corruption within the Health Services Union.

She broke down while giving evidence today, saying she had been called a "Liberal prostitute" and spent days in a Melbourne psychiatric hospital after receiving threats at her home.
