  • North Korea has fired three ballistic missiles into the sea off its east coast, according to South Korea's Office of Joint Chiefs of Staff. It came hours after the leaders of South Korea and China, the North's main diplomatic ally, met on the sidelines of the G20 summit in China

  • A royal commission has heard boys were forced to wear tight belts and find window seats to stop a Marist Brother molesting them during class at a Newcastle high school

  • A Melbourne teenager who planned to behead a police officer at an Anzac Day march in 2015 has been sentenced to 10 years in prison
