Good morning. Here's what's happening now:

  • The UK has the biggest stake in foreign-owned farmland in Australia according the Federal Government's farm register. FWIW, China comes in fifth

  • Banning foreign political donations in Australia would be "virtually impossible" according to constitutional law experts. They warn any move would be "tricky" and likely face a High Court challenge

  • A Tim Cahill goal has delivered the Socceroos a 1-0 victory over United Arab Emirates in their World Cup qualifier. The win puts the Socceroos on top of their group as they seek to qualify for the 2018 World Cup

The woman who received the world's first face transplant has died. Frenchwoman Isabelle Dinoire died "after a long illness" according to a French hospital. She received the transplant in 2005 and spoke at press conference in 2006 just three months after the operation.
