Jake Mastroianni, 26, had a double life sentence upheld on appeal in a Bangkok court, after police found 61 ecstasy pills in his girlfriend's apartment

  • Australia's solar power production is set to triple with the construction of 12 new solar power plants. The Australian Renewable Energy Agency will invest $92 million to build six plants in Queensland, five in New South Wales and one in Western Australia

  • The former principal of a Marist Brothers high school in Newcastle has been labelled a "coward and a liar" after telling the child sex abuse royal commission he cannot remember the circumstances surrounding a 13-year-old student's suicide
