Harris a 'sinister pervert' who saw girls as 'sexual objects', court hears

The prosecution in the trial of Rolf Harris has described the Australian entertainer as a "sinister pervert" who left his daughter's childhood friend an "emotionally dead creature" following years of sexual abuse.

Harris is charged with indecently assaulting four girls in the UK between 1968 and 1986. He denies all 12 counts.

Prosecutor Sasha Wass QC said Harris used his fame to mesmerise his victims, and "considered underage girls as sexual objects" to be "groped and mauled".
