Robin Williams found dead in California home

The entertainment industry and fans around the world are reeling from the news that Hollywood star Robin Williams has died at the age of 63.

California police say they were called to Williams's home on Monday afternoon (local time) and declared the actor dead of a suspected suicide.

Williams rose to prominence in sitcom Mork and Mindy, and went on to star in films such as Good Morning Vietnam, Good Will Hunting and Mrs Doubtfire.

The actor, who was open about his drug and alcohol addiction, also used his unmistakable voice to bring life to roles in animated films including Aladdin.

Bank fees class action against ANZ, Citibank and Westpac lodged

Legal firm Maurice Blackburn is today lodging court action to claim back hundreds of millions of dollars in fees for bank customers.

Any Australian bank customer who has ever been charged a late credit card fee is about to be included in what could be one of the country's biggest class actions.

Action against NAB, the Commonwealth and American Express is expected to follow.

Customers who have been slapped with a late fee do not have to register for the class action, and there is no limit on how far back in time the fees could be recovered.

Gerard Brody from the Consumer Action Law Centre says potentially hundreds of thousands of people will benefit.
