'However long it takes': Israel vows to continue Gaza campaign

Israel has vowed to continue its military campaign in the Gaza Strip for as long as needed and with as much force as necessary.

The announcement comes after the collapse of a 72-hour cease-fire in the region shortly after it came into effect.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the army is still carrying out its primary mission of destroying cross-border tunnels from Gaza and has accused Hamas of seizing a lieutenant during a breach of the truce.
