  • Investigators are a step closer to finding the wreckage of the EgyptAir plane that crashed into the Mediterranean. A French navy ship has detected signals from one of its black boxes

  • The world's longest rail tunnel has officially opened in Switzerland. The 57-kilometre Gotthard Base Tunnel cuts through the Swiss Alps, took 17 years to complete, and cost over $16 billion

  • Sam Stosur is into the semi-finals of the French Open after seeing off Bulgaria's Tsvetana Pironkova in a tense contest. "I think typically whoever wins a grand slam, they don't always play their best tennis every single day, but they find a way to win," she said

A Lego sculpture which took three days and nights to put together has been brought down by a child just an hour after it went on display. The 1.8-metre sculpture portrayed the character Nick Wilde from Disney's Zootopia... and was worth more than $20,000
