Murray breaks Britain's Wimbledon hoodoo

Andy Murray has become the first British man to win Wimbledon in 77 years, defeating world number one Novak Djokovic in straight sets 6-4, 7-5, 6-4.

Murray, 26, had the 15,000-strong crowd on their feet as he served out the match after Djokovic had fought off three championship points.

The victory is Murray's second grand slam win, after his break-through triumph at the US Open last year.
