Good morning. Here's what's happening now:

  • Australian researchers have found new evidence explaining why artificial sweeteners can lead to weight gain. The research found that if people eat a sweetener but do not get the equivalent amount of calories, they're likely to eat more food to make up for it

  • At least 22 people been killed in a head-on collision between two passenger trains in Italy. More than 40 people were also injured in the crash, which happened on a single track through olive groves in the country's south

  • Bernie Sanders has officially endorsed Hillary Clinton for president. In a joint appearance with Clinton, Sanders said he would do everything he could to help the Democratic nominee win the US presidential election in November

Images of kissing corals have been captured for the first time using a new underwater microscope. The images have revealed corals embrace each other at night in a process called 'polyp kissing'. Aww.
