Good afternoon. Here's what's happening now:

  • Sydney man Adeel Khan will serve at least 30 years' jail over a fire at his Rozelle store that killed three people. Khan continually denied being responsible for the deaths but in sentencing remarks it was revealed he had repeatedly said sorry while being extricated from the debris

  • The Queensland Police Service's fraud squad has been the subject of a Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) investigation after allegations including the "misuse of funds" surfaced last year. Today, the CCC ruled out any charges against three officers but said there were some grounds for disciplinary action

  • Our Washington bureau chief Zoe Daniel has taken a look at the week in US politics and asks this question: "Is Donald Trump trying to kill his own campaign?" Check out her take on the week's events
