Good morning. Here's what's happening now:

  • 300 people, including two Australians, have been safely evacuated from an Emirates plane that burst into flames after performing an emergency landing in Dubai. The airline said the incident was not security-related. One firefighter died while fighting the large blaze

  • A former Reserve Bank of Australia board member has come out in support of an inquiry into the banks. John Edwards finished a five-year term on the RBA board last week and told 7.30 "some kind of inquiry would be helpful"

  • Police in Western Australia are trying to identify a woman who died after being dumped at a Perth hospital. They have released images of several of her tattoos in a bid to solve the mystery
