Rio 2016: Day 7 preview - cyclists and shooters in line for gold | Australia's cyclists and rowers will be leading the charge for Rio gold on day seven, while our teams have some crucial fixtures to negotiate.
Take a look at what is coming up on day seven in Rio (all times AEST):
Rowing
After a silver in the men's quad sculls on day six, optimism is high for Australia's rowing team and there is great hope for more medals on day seven.
The men's fours team took silver in the 2015 World Championships, and will be racing for gold at 12:00am.
Cycling
Australia's men's team pursuit side claimed victory at the World Championships earlier this year, and is favourite to add Olympic gold in Rio. That final will be getting underway at 7:20am.
Meanwhile, Anna Meares will be in action from 7:00am as she competes in the track team sprint alongside Stephanie Morton. Qualifying for that one begins at 5:00am, with a potential final to be held at 7:00am.
Shooting
Gold is on offer when favourite Warren Potent competes in the 50m rifle prone, an event he is heavily tipped to take out.
Australia is having a good Games in the shooting, and you can see Potent try to add to that at 12:00am.
Football
It's quarter-final time for the Matildas, and thanks to an up-and-down group stage they have quite the daunting task to progress to the final four.
Hosts Brazil await in the latest of four quarter-finals on day seven, which will kick off at 11:40am. A late kick-off for the players, but perfect viewing time for us.
Other highlights: - Swimming: Jess Ashwood is in the final of the 800m freestyle, and is a chance for a medal from 11:20am
- Athletics: Dane Bird-Smith is competing in the 20km walk, an event he in which he is fancied for a medal, from 3:30am
- Basketball: The Boomers are hoping to carry momentum from their good showing against USA into their fourth match against China at 3:15am
- Hockey: Australia's men's team, the Kookaburras, take on hosts Brazil in a critical fifth pool match from 9:30am
